'Everything seems impossible until it's done '
we once felt hopeless , grieved , distressed .
wondering where's God
asked again and again
what did i do to deserve this ?
God loves you .
He always has , He always will .
God knows that we don't learn His ways or grow unless He gets our attention .
Growth requires concentration and determination .
It's a fight to move forward ,
with every inch of ground contested .
The more relaxed we become in our relationship to the world ,
the more we buy into the illusion that we can pursue God at an easy jog ,
without any bumps in the road ,
without any looming rainstorms ,
without any stumbles .

The only thing that teaches one life is about -the joy of understanding ,
the joy of coming in contact with what life really signifies --- is suffering , affliction .
God doesn't love chastising us , but He loves what he sees at the end of the process :
children who are ''perfect and complete , lacking nothing '' .

So He administers His tough love ,
and He does it with all the gentleness possible in order to drive home instructions vital to our spiritual growth.
Consider the words of the prophet Jeremiah :
Though He causes grief ,
Yet he will show compassion
Yet he will show compassion
According to the multitude of His mercies ,
For He does not afflict willingly,
Nor grieve the children of men .
